Toronto Maple Leaf’s Legend to help local food bank Saturday

Bobby Baun Helped the Leaf's win the Stanley Cup 4 times

Port Hope – Former Toronto Maple Leaf’s phenom, Bobby Baun will be on hand to meet the public and sign autographs at Lakeridge Chrysler Dodge Jeep of Port Hope Saturday, January 14 between 1pm and 3pm. People wishing to meet the legendary defenseman – Toronto was a four-time winner of the Stanley Cup during Baun’s tenure – are asked to bring at least two items for the Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks.

Chrysler dealership owner, Matthew St. Amand said, “the need for food for those less fortunate is greater now than ever before and we felt that Bobby might be able to help. When I asked for his help, he leapt at the chance”.

Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks just came off their most successful food drive season yet, but already experiencing shortages with a need for instant coffee, school snacks of any kind, laundry detergent and personal care products (shaving cream, soap, shampoo, feminine hygiene products).

The public is invited to participate. Baun said that he would be on hand for photos and autographs.
