About the Northumberland Hills Hospital Board
The Board of Directors is composed of volunteers from around west Northumberland County (the area served by NHH). There are currently both working and retired individuals on the Board, all of whom bring skills and work and life experiences that enable the Board to effectively meet its responsibilities. These include:
- Providing strategic direction to the Hospital’s management team
- Selecting the CEO and Chief of Staff and evaluating their performance
- Providing oversight to the Physician credentialing process
- Monitoring the operational and financial performance of the Hospital
More detail can be found in Board Policies 1-010, “Responsibilities of the Board and Board Directors” and 1-002 “Board Member Code of Conduct” which includes the Position Description for Directors. These policies can be found below in the LEARN MORE section.
