Alexandra Wright
Alexandra Wright, PhD, MPA, is a Senior Digital Health Advisor at Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS), where she leads global initiatives on advancing digital health transformation, public health modernization, and population health outcomes. Her work supports governments and healthcare organizations across the United States, Canada, and internationally.
Dr. Wright’s expertise spans digital health strategy, public health systems, and health system supply chain resilience. She has led multi-jurisdictional studies on digital transformation, public health infrastructure, and healthcare workforce innovation. She also co-develops applied frameworks that integrate digital tools, data stewardship, and equitable care delivery.
In Canada, she is the Director of Research at Supply Chain Advancement Network in Health (SCAN Health), on supply chain strategy and resilience, that supports hospitals, governments, and industry in co-designing solutions to improve clinical product availability, domestic supplier engagement, and crisis preparedness across health systems.
With more than fifteen years of applied research experience, Dr. Wright holds an adjunct appointment at the University of Toronto, over 22 publications, and is committed to translating evidence into measurable improvements for healthcare systems and patient outcomes.
