Tim Hortons and Fare Share partner up to collect again this fall
If you live in the Port Hope or Cobourg area, your brown paper bag for the Tim Hortons Food Drive should have arrived in the local newspaper recently.
Tim Hortons is once again sponsoring the Food Drive program in communities across Canada. In Northumberland, the Fare Share Food Banks of Cobourg and Port Hope receive all food contributions, which are then distributed to individuals and families in need.
As in previous years, local residents are encouraged to contribute by filling the paper bags with non-perishable food items and dropping the packages off at their local Tim Hortons store. The brown bags
are printed with a list of possible items for donation, which include powdered milk, fruit juice, canned salmon & tuna, peanut butter, baby formula and toilet tissue.
In Port Hope, all Tim Hortons locations are collecting for the food drive, with the exception of the drive-
through kiosk at the Shell Station on Ontario Street.
Both Cobourg Tim Hortons stores are also participating.
More people than ever before are relying on local food banks this year, and Fare Share volunteers are
doing everything they can to keep the shelves stocked this season.
Donations can be made through the Tim Hortons Food Drive program, directly to the Fare Share Food
Bank locations in Port Hope or Cobourg, by visiting our website at www.fareshare.ca, or by calling us at
905-372-0302.
