Mary Lou Ellis to Chair Fundraising Committee for Food Banks

Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks is pleased to announce that Mary Lou Ellis has joined our team to lead community fundraising activities.

Her skills, experiences, and community relationships will be great assets for us as we tackle the challenge of funding for our growing needs and a challenging 2015.

Mary Lou has worked and resided in Port Hope for 25 years. She was educated at the University of Toronto and moved here with her job and really never looked back.

After a lengthy career with a publishing company, upon the retirement of the owner, Mary Lou worked for Atomic Energy of Canada, Port Hope Area Initiative offices, in the Property Value Protection division.

Most recently Mary Lou served on Port Hope Council from 2010 – 2014. In addition to the above, throughout this time, she has been an enthusiastic volunteer for many local organizations including Fare Share.

Mary Lou joins us at a critical time as Fare Share looks to implement new initiatives to better serve Cobourg and Port Hope area families in need.
