Harvest is Upon Us and New Amherst Delivered

Special thanks to the residents of New Amherst, located between Cobourg and Port Hope. It seems to happen more and more - people really get the fact that there are people who are hungry. Recently New Amherst personnel contacted our offices in the hopes that they could run an umpromtu food drive for the harvest season. Posters were created, notices went out to the households within New Amherst and voila - over 300 lbs of food has been donated to Fare Share.

The 300 lbs of food will go to the ever increasing demand we are experiencing at the banks. If you wish to run a food drive in your community - drop us a line. It's very easy to host and Fare Share offers you great media support. Simply contact admin@fareshare.ca
