Gentlemen Indeed!
Cobourg: Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks learned last November – quietly – that a band, The Gentlemen Husbands were going to play a “Home Coming” concert at Victoria Hall, where a portion of ticket sales would be donated to the Food Bank.
This prompted the question, “who are these guys”, said Peter Gabany, Fare Share Communications Director? The answer was very encouraging… “they’ve played just about every soft seat in Canada, including Massey Hall”. No sooner did we promote the concert through our own social media channels that we learned the Cobourg Concert, December 18th was sold out.
Last week, Executive Director Duncan met with the band at the Cobourg Food Bank and was presented a cheque for $1372. Outstanding!
