Fresh Food Donations Needed

This year at Fare Share’s Annual General Meeting we launched the Grow-A-Row initiative and it has been a welcome addition, especially now that harvest is upon us. We are receiving more and more fruit, vegetables and even some beef.

This news item is to serve as a reminder to all farmer/producers, markets and market gardeners and hobbyists that Fare Share is prepared to receive most any quantity of fresh food in an effort to improve the quality and nutritional value of the food we distribute.

Small quantities can be dropped of at either the Port Hope or Cobourg banks during regular operations - Wednesdays from 10 a.m. to Noon., and again from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. We are also open in Cobourg on Fridays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. For larger quantities it may be necessary to make special arrangements. We ask all donors to call the office during open hours, or send a note to admin@fareshare.ca
