Exchange donation for candle at Cobourg's \"Christmas Magic\" Festivities

This Friday, Nov. 26, marks the beginning of Cobourg’s “Christmas Magic” festivities — and what better way to ‘celebrrrate’ the season of giving than to contribute to the local Fare Share Food Bank?

All participants in Cobourg’s candlelight walk Friday night are invited to bring a non-perishable food item to Victoria Hall at 6 p.m. and exchange it for a candle. All food donations will go to Fare Share.

Christmas carol singing begins at 6:15 p.m., and the candlelight walk along King Street to Victoria Park will begin at 6:30. Hot chocolate, Santa Claus and the switching on of the park’s Christmas lights will all be highlights of the evening!

More people than ever before are relying on local food banks this year, and Fare Share volunteers are doing everything they can to keep the shelves stocked. Please do your part to help feed our neighbours during the holiday season.
