Dynamic Duo to Manage Fare Share Food Bank in Port Hope

Yvonne and Ken take the reigns at Port Hope's Food Bank - a welcome addition

The Board of Directors of Northkumerbland Fare Share Food Banks recenly met to welcome not one, but two managers to take over the reigns from Peter Hills. Ken and Yvonne O’Neill have volunteered to become co-managers. They see it as an opportunity to work together to make a difference in Port Hope.

Ken is a retired Math and Physics teacher and Yvonne is a retired elementary school principal. They have two sons and two granddaughters and have lived in Port Hope since 1971.

Yvonne was the first manager of the Second Helpings store, a second hand store supporting Big Brothers and Big Sisters and is a co-ordinator of the Giving Tree, an initiative that provides gifts for more than a thousand children at Christmas.

Ken is a longtime Rotarian who will again be assuming the role of president.

They are looking forward to joining a team of dedicated volunteers at Northumberland Fare Share Food Banks.
