Can You Sponsor the BEST Golf Tournament in the County?

Yes, it's a bold statement but last year's George Leger Memorial Golf Tournament thrilled all who participated. This year promises to be more of the same. Fare Share Golf Chair, Helen Donovan, says that she is encouraged how many are coming to the aid of the Food Bank to make this the best tournament yet.

As many know, the money raised goes to our NEED MILK program. In 2012 food recipients were getting what amounted to 1 glass of milk per month. Today, each visit to the bank families are getting as much a 4 litres of fresh milk. BUT SENIORS NEED MILK as well. This year the Golf Committee are working diligently to raise enough money to afford EVERYONE fresh milk for each visit.

In 2009 people received approximately 1 bag of food per visit - 8.8lbs. Today we are pleased to say that each recipient receives 20lbs of food per visit plus any fresh fruit and vegetables that we can collect and those with kids receive a bag of milk.
