Cancer and Supportive Care Clinic
Bright and cheerful surroundings, a caring staff and a private entrance and waiting area make the Lions and Lioness Cancer and Supportive Care Clinic at Northumberland Hills Hospital a convenient choice for local cancer patients.
Community Mental Health Services
NHH’s Community Mental Health Services assist individuals who are experiencing a serious mental illness. Programming is geared to those 16 years and older.
Northumberland Hills Hospital offers a 12-station satellite service of the regional dialysis program located at Peterborough Regional Health Centre (PRHC).
Ontario Telemedicine Network (OTN)
NHH has been an active participant in The Ontario Telemedicine Network for many years, but since the establishment of an on-site OTN clinical department in 2013 more and more outpatients (and inpatients, as well) are able to access specialist health care close to home!
OTN uses state-of-the-art telemedicine technology to deliver educational programs and provide outpatient and inpatient consultations in a broad range of areas including mental health, cardiovascular surgery, neurology, interventional radiology, genetics, movement disorders, diabetic insulin control, pediatric urology and pre-anaesthesia, as well as burn, bariatric and general surgery follow-up appointments. A telemedicine appointment is just like a regular appointment, only the specialist is seen and heard on a monitor.
Most recently NHH has partnered with the region's Geriatric Assessment & Intervention Network Clinics (GAIN) to offer assessments to those 75 and over living with multiple complex medical, functional and other challenges.
For information on how to access care for yourself or a loved one through OTN please contact NHH's OTN Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 905-372-6811, ext. 3050.
