What is the Stroke Recovery Clinic?

The Stroke Recovery Clinic offers multidisciplinary stroke rehabilitation services (including, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist), to better support stroke patients on their rehabilitation journey. 

Through this service, eligible patients will work with a team of rehabilitation providers who will help support their recovery after they leave the hospital.  After an initial assessment with one or more members of the NHH therapy team (Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist), a specialized care team will be assigned to patients and an individualized program treatment schedule.  

While different for each individual, the average length of participation in the Clinic is expected to be between four to eight weeks.

Clinic operating hours are:

Weekdays on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.

Initial appointments may be approximately one hour in length and follow up appointments may be approximately forty minutes in length, per each individual therapy team member. 

Please note: Multiple appointments may be scheduled on the same day depending on patient needs.
