Applications due soon for 2026 Health Professions Scholarship
The deadline for Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Health Professions Scholarship applications will close soon. Two $1,500 scholarships are available for 2026. Applications and supporting documents must be received by the hospital before 4 PM on Friday, April 17.
Introduced in 2003, the purpose of the NHH Health Professions Scholarship Program is to provide financial assistance to students from west Northumberland who are pursuing a career in the health-care sector.
All applicants must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in a full-time study program. Applicants are evaluated based on:
- academic standing;
- extra-curricular activities;
- a personal testimonial explaining their interest in a health-care field; and,
- written references.
By supporting local students with their academic studies, NHH hopes to continue to encourage community residents to consider NHH in their career path when the time comes to select an employer.
Recipients will be announced at a spring meeting of the Northumberland Hills Hospital Board of Directors.
