Gillian Robinson

Hospital Acquired Pressure Injury (HAPI) Quality Aim Committee and Human Resources

Gill moved to Cobourg from Calgary in 2021 after her retirement, choosing Cobourg as a location because of its proximity to her children and their families, and because of Northumberland Hills Hospital. In addition to her role on PFAC, Gill also volunteers with Rebound Child and Youth Services, a key partner for NHH through the Ontario Health Team of Northumberland, and most recently, the Youth Hub (YWHO).

Once in Cobourg, she wasted no time in being part of her new community and joined the Cobourg Art Club and Happy Harmony Women’s Choir in addition to her role as President of CFUW-Northumberland. It was at a Happy Harmony Choir that she met fellow PFAC member Irene Kavanagh, who encouraged her to join PFAC.

Before moving to Cobourg, Gill was senior director of the Faculty of Graduate Studies at the University of Calgary. One of the priorities during her time there was the re-imagining of the graduate student experience. She brings her planning expertise and her knowledge of youth and student needs to her role on PFAC.
