Warkworth Boutique to support Northumberland Hills Hospital Foundation through “Health Care is Always in Fashion” event
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY- Warkworth business owner, and regional fashionista, Karen Williams, will be hosting the Excellent Health Care is Always in Fashion event at her beautiful up-market store, LUX Boutique on Tuesday, September 20th, 2011. This distinctively stylish event will be in support of the Northumberland Hills Hospital (NHH) Foundation where 20 percent of all that evening's sales will be donated to the Foundation.
LUX Boutique offers a truly magnificent collection of high style and high quality women's fashions, handbags, footwear and jewellery that has, in its short time being open, attracted customers and acclaim from across the province and many state that LUX looks like Bloor Street arrived on Main St. "Shopping in LUX Boutique is like being in handbag heaven!" declared Karen Stinson of Cobourg. Guelph resident, Debora Holm, added, "My sister is from Port Hope and we have both had the pleasure of shopping at your boutique... Besides the selection of quality pieces that you offer, the most important aspect of my experience was the excellent service you gave. Your boutique has now become a destination spot for me. Thank you!"
Karen has over 25 years in the fashion industry, commencing her career at the age of 19 in Toronto as a freelance fashion ad stylist and fashion show coordinator and producer for shopping centres and consumer shows. Karen was also a fashion segment producer and TV host for CHEX TV and a syndicated newspaper fashion columnist. Returning to Northumberland county in 2002, she opened a highly successful boutique in Campbellford which she sold in 2008. After three years of former customers asking her to please open another women's clothing store, she did, and today she owns LUX Boutique.
Why is Karen hosting this event? "I have had a few opportunities to visit NHH and, every time, I have been very impressed with the high level of professionalism, kindness and prompt service offered by staff and volunteers. Giving back is what makes the world go 'round and this is my way of saying, 'thank you!’. Since there is nothing quite so stylish as Excellent Health and Excellent Health Care, I felt Fashion was the perfect complimentary event where we can have fun and raise some much needed funds. I hope you will join us!"
“We are honoured to be a part of this great event Karen has organized in support of the hospital”, Rhonda Cunningham, Executive Director of NHH Foundation has said. “It will be a fabulous evening!”.
The event kicks off at 5:30 p.m. with a Champagne toast, welcome remarks from NHH Foundation Executive Director, Rhonda Cunningham and LUX Boutique Owner, Karen Williams and then let the festivities and fund raising begin! The event will wrap up at 8pm.
