MRI Medical Radiation Technologist - Temporary Full-time
SUMMARY OF DUTIES:
Reporting to the Director of Diagnostic Imaging and accountable to the Chief of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiation Protection Officer), the MR Technologist will be responsible for performing routine and advanced MR examinations including interventional procedures. The technologist will be expected to make independent decisions while performing these duties.
Current registration and experience as a MRT in Radiology a definite asset.
The successful applicant may be required to work shifts on days, evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays. The successful applicant will be required to work scheduled and non-scheduled shifts.
Qualifications:
• Current registration with the College of Medical Radiation Technologists (CMRTO) of Ontario as a Magnetic Resonance Technologist, MRT required
• MR Certification from Canadian Association of Medical Radiological Technologists (CAMRT) or equivalent
• Previous clinical experience working as an MRT in MR required
• Previous experience working in a hospital environment would be an asset
• Certification for placement and administration of intravenous contrast media injection, required
• Proven good attendance record with capabilities of maintaining this same standard
• Previous recent related Meditech experience (ITS module) a definite asset.
• Previous GE Centricity PACS experience a definite asset.
