Hospitalists – Permanent, Full-Time

Northumberland Hills Hospital is currently developing a Hospitalist Program and is seeking full-time permanent Hospitalists. The ideal candidates will have previous experience in participating in program development and implementation. The Hospitalist Program shall include the following responsibilities:

• Most Responsible Physician (MRP) for unattached (“orphan”) medical and
post-acute (rehabilitation and restorative);
• Work collaboratively with local General Practitioners using a blended
model for hospital-based care;
• Participate in the call schedule for the Program; and,
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Additional opportunities to augment hospitalist work could include Emergency Medicine. Hospital-based office and administrative support for scheduling and billing will be provided. Anticipated daily case load of approximately 15 to 25 patients. Work schedule, remuneration package and benefits (vacation) are negotiable.

Qualifications: CCFP and registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO)
