LOCATION
Located approximately 100 kilometres east of Toronto, NHH is a vibrant community hospital delivering a broad range of acute, post-acute, outpatient and diagnostic services. Directly serving a growing population of more than 60,000 residents spread across a mix of urban and rural settings, NHH directly employs approximately 750 people and relies on the additional support provided by a highly engaged and supportive network of physicians, midwives and volunteers.
ROLE OVERVIEW
Reporting to the Vice President Finance & Chief Financial Officer, the Director Diagnostic Imaging provides vision, direction, leadership, support, and guidance for the Diagnostic team. This position is responsible for strategic planning, operational decision making and resources utilization and development for the functional areas within the portfolio. These functions are performed in accordance with the strategic plan, philosophy, and values of NHH and include analysis and implementation of regional integration strategies among other hospitals, health care agencies and potential partners in the public or private sectors along with following legislation including specific regulations related to the role.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
- A degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or equivalent education and experience
- Current membership in the College of Medical Radiation and Imaging Technologists of Ontario
- Technical Diploma/degree as an MRT
- Previous Management experience in a Health Care Setting
- Strong ability to lead change through others and conflict resolution skills
- Commitment to customer service when dealing with patients, colleagues, volunteers and other members of the community and public
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to proficiently interpret clinical documentation
- Superior verbal, written, listening and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrates excellent effective objective interpersonal and communication skills along with investigative, teaching and facilitation skills
- Highly organized multitasker and detail-oriented professional with ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced and unpredictable environment
- Ability to influence others and to establish credibility with all levels of the organization, challenging the status quo and being a catalyst for positive change
- Capable of working independently and with multidisciplinary teams
- Proficiency in the Microsoft suite of software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and PowerPoint and EPIC
- Flexible approach to work, resilience, and ability to exemplify the values of NHH
- Ability to responding quickly and appropriately to staffing issues and technical emergencies

- Experience preparing and sustaining multiyear capital plans and budgets
EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS
Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.
Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
