Canadian flag at half-mast at NHH on April 28th in recognition of National Day of Mourning

The Canadian flag in front of NHH will fly at half-mast on Friday, April 28th, in recognition of the 27th annual National Day of Mourning. Each year this day honours those injured, killed or suffering due to a workplace-related accident or hazard.

From fund-raising to governance, way-finding to quality improvement, spiritual care to a heart-warming hello, volunteers of all ages play an essential role in making NHH the compassionate and high quality hospital it is today.

Northumberland PATH

This exciting local project was launched in June 2012 with a $3-million research grant from The Change Foundation to improve seniors' experiences as they move in, out of, and across Ontario's health system. Led by NHH, the pilot project involved local seniors, caregivers and close to a dozen health and community agencies. The history of the project, and some of the many lessons learned, have been summarized by The Change Foundation in a three-part report, Charting a New PATH, published March 30, 2016, and available on www.changefoundation.ca.
