&lt;p&gt;Reporting to the Clinical Manager Allied Health, the Clinical Dietitian will enact full scope of practice in the delivery of dietetic services that promote patient safety, quality, and patient centered care in accordance with patient/client needs and in line with established organizational standards, policies and procedures.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Assess the nutritional status of inpatients; provide consultation to outpatients when urgent nutritional care is required; develop and implement nutrition care plans; evaluate the effectiveness of nutrition interventions through patient observation, review of relevant lab work, and discussion with the patient or interdisciplinary team; adjust care plans as required.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Counsel and educate patients, utilizing clinical information obtained from patients, family members, healthcare team, and patient chart&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Act as a resource to provide nutrition education to chemotherapy outpatients as needed&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Provide consultation to inpatients with diabetes as needed; seek opportunities to promote best practices in diabetes care at NHH&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Collaborate in the provision of parenteral nutrition (TPN) for hospital inpatients&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Participate as a member of the interprofessional dysphagia management team&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Maintain records as required by the Hospital and The College of Dietitians of Ontario&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Participate in interprofessional patient care rounds throughout the hospital&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Participate in the development and review of clinical practice guidelines, clinical pathways, pre-printed order sets, and medical directives&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Develop nutrition education materials and contribute to other quality initiatives including program and departmental strategic planning&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Act as a resource to members of the interprofessional team in the provision of nutrition and diet information; provides education to the team as required&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Act as a resource to Nutrition Services staff; support departmental guidelines for food selection and menu modification; participate in Nutrition Services initiatives such as menu revisions, enteral contracts and nutrition audits&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Participate in nutrition-related research projects; serve as a preceptor for students or dietetic interns&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

	&lt;li&gt;Registered Dietitian with the College of Dietitians of Ontario&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Recent experience in an acute care hospital setting required&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Certified Diabetes Educator preferred, and/or demonstrated competency in diabetes management&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Demonstrated competency in dysphagia management and able to perform bedside swallowing assessments, with evaluation by Speech Language Pathologist at NHH is an asset&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Demonstrated competency in Critical Care Nutrition required&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Reporting to the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and accountable to the Chief of Diagnostic Imaging (Radiation Protection Officer), the Medical Radiation Technologist will be responsible for performing radiographic examinations that may include, routine general radiographic procedures, interventional procedures, mobile X-ray procedures, CT, mammography and BMD (a maximum of three (3) modalities). The Technologist will be expected to make independent decisions while performing these duties.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;The Echocardiographer, currently vacant, under the direction of the Manager of Diagnostic Imaging and the Internist/Cardiologist, produces and records high quality sonographic images utilizing echocardiogram equipment as required to complete the examinations requested.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Successful completion of Echocardiography program or equivalent combination of past on-the-job training and a related clinical degree or diploma&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Current and ongoing registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) and/or Canadian Association of Registered Diagnostic Ultrasound Professionals (CARDUP)&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Maintain current BCLS certification&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Minimum one year&amp;rsquo;s experience in Echocardiography&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Excellent verbal and written communication skills&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Must be able to work with patients independently and identify urgent medical indicators within the scope of practice and can alert the physician of urgent patient conditions that could affect treatment or further testing.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Computer skills, knowledge EPIC EMR; Microsoft Office, PACs. Knowledge of appropriate ultrasound platforms and reporting software.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment using excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize duties&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with patients, staff and physicians&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Demonstrates an understanding of ethical behaviours and confidentiality requirement in a health care institution.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ability to represent the Hospital with professionalism and compassion for patients and families&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Proven good attendance record with capability of maintaining this same standard&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Demonstrated compliance with all Occupational Health and Safety Legislation and Infection Prevention and Control practices.&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Flexible approach to work, resilience, and ability to exemplify the values of NHH.&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORKING CONDITIONS&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;ul&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Ability to move patients and push/pull heavy mobile equipment&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;May encounter pressure due to complex medical issues of patients&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Standing, sitting, walking &amp;ndash; possibly for prolonged periods&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;May be required to view computer monitors (flat screen and/or CRTs) for extended periods of time&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Responds professionally and appropriately in high stress and emergency situations&lt;/li&gt;
	&lt;li&gt;Required to assist patients during the transfer to and from the stretcher/table (e.g.: to and from wheelchair to stretcher/table, to and from stretcher/bed to&amp;nbsp; stretcher/table etc.)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;

&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Successful applicants are required provide a satisfactory vulnerable sector criminal reference check, that was complete less than one year from the date of hire. This requirement must be met within the first sixty (60) days of employment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Additionally, to the above, successful applicants are also required to complete the Health Care Worker Health review process which includes providing an up-to-date immunization record to ensure compliance with the Ontario Hospital Association Communicable Diseases Surveillance Protocols within the first thirty (30) days of employment.
